Trauma Conference in Oxford, UK

It was a real pleasure to attend the trauma conference in Oxford, UK. The event featured esteemed speakers such as Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine, Stephen Porges, Sue Carter, and others. These professionals, all experts in the fields of psychology and science, emphasized the connection between body and mind, challenging the traditional view of them as separate entities. Their perspectives, grounded in their respective fields, were enlightening. Additionally, I had the privilege of experiencing a dinner at the remarkable Oxford University Museum of Natural History.

Insights from Bessel van der Kolk

Bessel van der Kolk, the author of "The Body Keeps the Score," shared a significant insight: neuroscience research has shown that the only way to change your brain's survival orientation is by accessing your interoceptive world—the part of your brain that allows you to observe yourself.

Workshops in Portugal

I also had a wonderful time conducting Neurocalm Yoga workshops in Portugal, having a group of fantastic people attending.

Workshop in Paris with Eddie Stern

In Paris, I attended a workshop led by Eddie Stern, a renowned yoga teacher based in New York. He presented a perspective on the nervous system, integrating the philosophy of yoga. This approach offered a fresh understanding that complements our studies in trauma release.

Biohacking Conference

The biohacking conference was an interesting experience. This event focused on optimizing human performance, health, and well-being through the latest advancements in science, nutrition, technologies, and data-driven self-experiments. Attending this conference provided insights into the newest trends and scientific developments in this field.

Meditation Retreat

As part of my regular personal training, I attended a silent meditation retreat. Another opportunity to deepen my practice

These experiences have been enriching and am excited integrating these in our ongoing journey.

We are continuing, with a few workshops planned for Portugal as well in the studio in Amsterdam.

Hope to see you soon!
